If Jax was hoping to go out in a way that would make his sons despise the thought of him in order to keep them away from the outlaw lifestyle, he picked a poor way to do it. As the twirling of the ring indicated, Abel is his father’s son, and like his father, as he grows up he’ll question the choices Jax made, and he’ll look to examine them as much as possible. All the suicide by truck does is enforce the idea Jax went out a good man as opposed to the killer he is. It indicates an idea to Abel his father took his own life to save his, and that’s hardly a thought that could ever be despised.But, in the end, minus that one hiccup, the series finale of Sons of Anarchy delivers on closure and commitment to an ending. It wasn’t Breaking Bad, but it also wasn’t Burn Notice or Dexter. The final episode of Sons of Anarchy was the conclusion to a seven year journey that in no way insults the road of the journey itself.
